Nicole guides on Volcán Barú (3,475m), Panama's highest peak, leading multi-day expeditions and jungle treks, and climbs high peaks in the Andes. Trained in search and rescue, wilderness first aid, and Leave No Trace, she founded Hiking Feminista in 2017, a Panamanian collective that safely connects women with nature and now trains female guides in rural and indigenous communities. She has summited Elbrus and Kilimanjaro, with Aconcagua next on her Seven Summits path.

The moment that means the most
Probably founding Hiking Feminista in 2017 - an initiative in Panama that safely connects women with nature while addressing topics such as outdoor safety, self-love, empowerment, intersectional feminism, health, hygiene, and sexuality in the mountains and beyond. Nowadays we are a collective which also seeks to train female guides in rural and indigenous communities.
What's next?
Climb the Seven Summits - having already summited Mount Elbrus in Russia back in 2019 and Mount Kilimanjaro in 2022. My next dream would be to attempt Aconcagua.
Nicole is one of twelve women in the 2027 Women of Mountaineering wall calendar. Every calendar funds future Summit Scholarships and Adventure Lens Grants for women and girls.
